UCL - Institute of the Americas (UCL-IA) is honoured to host Prof Bruce Cumings (Chicago), the most distinguished scholar of the Korean War, to deliver this lecture, to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Korean Armistice. In his paper, Prof Cumings assesses the significance of the conflict and its historical legacy for the global system and today's East Asia.

This event is organised in conjunction with City University International Politics Department, LSE Ideas and SOAS Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy.
